I have arborvitae that seem to suffer when snow lays on the foliage. With any snow, particularly heavy wet snow, or wet snow that melts and refreezes, some of the branches bend over to the ground. I was wondering if I might use a plastic mesh placed around each in the fall, and removed in the spring. Does anyone know if they sell this on the website?
In the past, burlap was used for that but netting is now available and is a better choice. Merrifield sells netting labeled as "Pond Net" and "Bird - X" either of which would do a great job. Just run a search on the website. Good luck.
