i was given some iris bulbs in early Jan and put them in the ground. they started growing green shoots right away but even though I live in the south they suffered from some frost. The green shoots froze and got mushy and now nothing will grow. I dug up a bulb and they still look viable is there anything I can do to get these to grow again. Also has anyone ever had any experience with a plant they call fake ginger. It was beautiful last summer. I brought it in for the wionter and it died. I put it back outside in the garage and the bulbs also still look viable but it has not started any shhots either.
