I am in month 3 of gardening, long enough to see flowers droop (hygrangeas) and partial spent blooms on another plant (Arizona Sun Blanket) When it comes to removing spent blooms, I would like to know where and when to remove the bloom. Is there a general rule to follow? Do you have a favorite gardening book for shade in Zone 7?
