Landscape Design — inserting plants into a retainer wall viewed 59 times

some of my sedums seem to be taking in the spots I have stuck them. My wall is a sort of formal stacked stone with not many cracks. Is it safe to drill into the wall and what should i stuff in there? faces south zone 7
