Annuals & Perennials — i cut my daffodils foliage after they bloomed! viewed 74 times

i cut my daffodils foliage after they bloomed! How do I make sure that they bloom again next year?

You should NOT have cut the foliage because that is the way that the bulbs store up energy in order to bloom NEXT year. The foliage on bulbs should be allowed to wither and dry and die back to the ground. I doubt that they will flower next year.

It's ok to bend them over and tie them to make them look neater until they die isn't it? I haven't done it but have heard of it.

If this is the first year you've cut them, they should still bloom next year, only not as well. Fertilize them with a bulb food, and don't cut them back next year until the foliage has browned.
