Pests & Diseases — Bagworms viewed 246 times

I have a serious bagworm infestation on my 35 Leland Cypress Trees, every year I spray and spray and spray, with all types of killers that claim to get rid of them. They just keep coming back! They have now started to get on my other types of trees such as my Pin Oak and my wild Cedar Trees. Please help! My latest purchase is 50% Malathion. But I do have several pets that I am concerned about coming into contact with those chemicals not to mention the wildlife around my home, I do feed birds, deer, and rabbits. Is there any type of bug that would eat bagworms? Like Ladybugs? If chemicals are the way to go then I need an answer that I can do myself such as a spray or granules, I do live alone and own 2 acres of land.

If the bagworms are still under an inch in length, I recommend using Thuricide which is an organic pesticide and will be safe for the surrounding wildlife.

Is it OK to put bagworms in paper bags? Will they eat their way out? Also, is a flame thrower an acceptable means of eliminating them?
