Good morning, I have a tomato garden that is full of nut grass. I have a small packet of manage. Is the Manage harmful to the tomato plants? I don’t know any other way to get rid of the nutgrass. It has grown there for years before my wife and I tried to plant tomatoes there. It was here when we bought the house. Hoeing just doesn’t get it. The plot is only 10’x 25’ Thanks.
Manage can not be used in vegetable gardens and I agree, hoeing just doesn't get it. We checked the Virginia Tech recommendations for control of nutsedge in tomatoes and they recommended covering the cultivated soil with black plastic mulch, then planting the tomatoes through the mulch. Good Luck!
