Pests & Diseases — Spider Mites viewed 238 times

Hello, I have tiny spider mites invading my Rose of Sharon. The Nurseryman told me to use Black Leaf CYGON 2E Systemic Insecticide. Which I did. My question is: How often should I use it. It's very strong. I used gloves and a long sleeve shirt, but I should have used a mask. Please advise. I welcome your advise.

Hi Lolita, The label does require use of protective eyewear and chemical resistant clothing, including gloves and shoes. Respirators and mask are only required when you are spraying from an overhead position. To properly treat your rose of sharon, treat it 3 times at bi-weekly intervals with 2 teaspoons per gallon of water. A Cygon 2E product label can be found at the following link; http://www.southernag.com/PDF%20Files/cygon.pdf
