I think it depends on what kind of roses you're talking about. Generally speaking, there seems to be more great red roses to choose from than yellow. Are you talking about hybrid teas, floribundas, climbers, or something else?

Also, it depends on what you like as well, and where they'll be, in regards to other plants. Another thing to consider, isthat from what I've read about rose colors, Japaneese beetles seem to prefer yellow roses over red ones.
